When I first hear that PeTA "kills" animals, I was so confused. A good amount of research later, I discovered that PeTA does more than just about anyone in their community to stop the euthanasia of adoptable animals. Learn more here:

There has been some interesting discussion in regard to PeTA and others' claims about this issue in ARZone in the past that might interest you, including that of Bruce Friedrich (when he worked with PeTA) if you've not yet seen them. It's a topic that many people are passionate about! The comments in each of these posts are interesting:
