Shenita Etwaroo is an animal advocate and activist, a vegan, and a volunteer at a local animal shelter.  She holds a doctorate degree in Christian Education, and presently pursuing her Post Graduation degrees in Criminal Justice and Animal Studies. She also holds numerous Diplomas and Certificates in Theology, Veterinary, Healthcare, and Animal Law & Humane Studies.

She has dedicated her life towards the welfare of animals. She firmly believes animals deserve equal love, care and affection like humans.She is committed to work for the welfare of animals who she considers innocent creatures that have to bear heart stopping cruelties just because of inherently cruel humans.

For over two decades now, she has been advocating for an end to all cruelties against animals. To her, crimes including but not limited to fur farming, seal hunts, animal testing, vivisection, and blood sports are heinous acts that she hopes will come to an end one day. These acts that compel animals to undergo brutal cruelties just in the name of human welfare or amusement are in no way acceptable to her. She has been raising her concerns for years now over such issues and has even come up with alternatives for animal testing. Through her work, she has been seeking justice for these animals who have undergone inexplicable sufferings, and have been fighting for the conviction of those found guilty of conducting the crimes.

It was the bond she shared with her bunny, Neon, that has motivated her to safeguard the life of millions of other innocent creatures.  In memory of her beloved baby, soul companion, best friend, angel and family,she has devoted her life to the welfare of all such animals.It was through Neo she was able to see the world differently, and it was the speechless creature that had painted her life with vibrant colours of joys and happiness.

Shenita has always shared a passionate relation with animals, even as a little girl. During the early years of her life, she would provide food and shelter to animals abandoned by their owner. Nothing in the world pleases her more than spending time with her animal companions. She always looks forward to be in their company and available for their help in time of need. It is her love for Neo that makes her feel the pain of every animal born in this world. She urges the entire human community to feel love for animals the way she does. Through her endeavours, she plans to bring a change in their life and hope that the world will be a better place for them.
