No New Offshore Drilling
In the wake of the explosion and sinking of the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico, and the resulting leak that has
spilled millions of gallons of oil into the waters off the U.S. coast,
President Obama instituted a six-month suspension of all deep water
drilling. It's a good first step towards avoiding what could be another
massive environmental disaster, but it doesn't go far enough.
We can not allow this devastation to happen again: Tell President Obama to put a permanent ban on all new offshore oil and gas exploration and development.
