Animal Rights Zone

Fighting for animal liberation and an end to speciesism

Vincent Guihan and Joanne Charlebois ~ ARZone guest chat this weekend ~ 3 July 2010

ARZone is proud to present Vincent Guihan and Joanne Charlebois as this weekend's guest chat.

Vincent Guihan and Joanne Charlebois are abolitionist vegans, residing in Canada.

Vincent and Joanne are both passionate and committed advocates who take nonhumans, their rights not to be used as property, and abolition very seriously.

Vincent is a published poet, a podcaster, a cookbook author and he maintains two blogs, VeganImprov and We Other Animals. Vincent and Joanne also maintain their site, Animal

Emancipation, which contains Vincent’s podcasts and some excellent vegan posters, pamphlets, flyers and starter kits which are readily downloadable for use by the public.

Joanne maintains her blog, The Starting Point is Veganism, and was instrumental in publishing a recent important blog post – “Joint Statement by a Group of Abolitionist Vegan Feminists for International Women's Week”, along with other abolitionists, to commemorate International Women’s Week.

Vincent is the author of a new cookbook titled “New American Vegan” which has been published by Tofu Hound Press. Vincent’s book focuses primarily on common ingredients, techniques and recipes from the Americas.

Vincent and Joanne will be generously making themselves available this weekend to share their vast knowledge and experience with ARZone members. This will be an excellent opportunity to further educate ourselves on veganism, abolition and why other approaches, such as welfare reform, will never be successful for nonhumans.

In order to have direct dialogue with Vincent and Joanne we ask that you register your question with ARZone ASAP, and may do so
by leaving a comment here or by contacting either Dan Cudahy, Roger Yates, Jason Ward or Carolyn Bailey directly through ARZone.

ARZone promotes rational discourse and intelligent dialogue and encourages participation in this event.
