Kelly, I don't remember what was wrong with them.. I was really young at the time (maybe 6 or 7). I just know someone left them in a box on the doorstep of the animal hospital and they all had to be put down apparently. Feline AIDS maybe? my aunt also absolutely hated cats so it wasn't done lovingly or gently :-( she threw them in a plastic bag before they were even dead. I know it's not indicative of how vets treat animals, but it certainly scared me- it was also the first time I realized that vets had to kill animals.. and regardless of the mercy, I personally couldn't handle it.

a cold? awwwe, she's certainly a big girl ^_^ i love snakes.

Ah, wow. What was so wrong with the kittens that they had to be euthanized? Yes though the job isn't for everyone. I am sure it was merciful for the kittens. I don't have a problem with those situations if they are warranted.
I believe the snake was a boa constrictor. She was getting over a cold and kept "hissing" in my ear. It was a bit unnerving!

Hi. I agree this snake definitely looks like they're smiling. I'd like to think that snakes smile outwardly, as well as just privately to themselves. I'd be interested to know what kind of snake they are. I'm guessing they may be a Boa Constrictor or a Python.
Thanks for sharing your great photo.X :))

I used to want to be one when I was a kid.. but then my aunt made me hold a bunch of kittens while she put them to sleep :-( I could never do that job.

I love that the snake looks like it's smiling ^_^ i totally want to pet it!

both my aunts were vet techs :-) I got to grow up with so many awesome animals! I also had a boa growing up- red tail- but I couldn't bare to feed it so I had to give it to someone else.
