50 DOGS RESCUED IN CHONGQING!!
Breaking news! 50 Dogs rescued in Chongqing
One activist intercepted a truck loaded with about 7 or 8 crates of dogs at Yang Jiaping in Chongqing. The activist immediately posted for help on Weibo and called the authorities while holding the truck up at the scene in the bitterly cold winter. Activists went to the scene to support. Police and officers from the Food Inspection Dept arrived later and requested the trafficker produce the certificate for the dogs. He was unable to produce the paperwork so all the dogs were confiscated and handed over to the activists. The activists are working overnight transferring the dogs to Aunty Yang's shelter.
The rescuers have posted on Weibo asking more people for help. Aunty Yang has 400 animals at her shelter and her resources are limited. They are asking for donations, large cages, distemper testing kits etc.
