Arzone is pleased to announce this week’s live chat guest.

Lyn White is the Communications Director for Animals Australia. She is recognised as one of Australia’s foremost animal cruelty investigators.

Whilst working in the South Australian Police Force, Lyn read an article about the confinement of moon bears in Asia and offered her services to Animals Asia.

She began to work with the Animals Asia Foundation on South East Asia animal cruelty issues, before joining Animals Australia in 2003. Since then, Lyn has conducted numerous investigations, focusing on the handling and slaughter of Australian sheep and cows in Indonesia and the Middle East.

It was Lyn who brought the images of the mistreatment of Australian cows to the world, in a recent investigation of Indonesian abattoirs, with the resultant Four Corners expose precipitating a public outcry.

Lyn also acts as the Manager of the recently established Animal Justice Fund, which is working very closely with Animals Australia to bring about an end to factory farming.

Lyn welcomes the opportunity to engage ARZone members this weekend on a range of topics, including her work with Animals Australia, her investigative work within the live export industry, and her philosophies in general.

ARZone is supportive of education, critical thinking, rational discourse, and aims to provoke intelligent dialogue about issues that most concern members of the animal advocacy movement.
