Calf Roping yes or no?

Hey everybody,

Just wanted to bring this poll on CBC's website to everyone's attention, it's in regards to calf roping and whether it
should be banned or not. I'm not sure how long the poll will be up for
but if everyone could take a few seconds to vote "yes" that would be
fantastic.

Hi Jessica,

The voting is running at 70/30 in favour of NOT banning this event. I don't know if that's really indicative of public opinion though. I'm sure the hillbillies get together and spend 24/7 improving their numbers with a lot of these polls.

Anyone who gets off on throwing a rope around a baby and dragging it to the ground needs a reality check.

In regards to the Calgary Humane Society saying they can "best protect the interests of the animals involved" by "working with organizations that put on such events", there should be no animals involved in the first place. These animals don't want their interests protected whilst being part of a rodeo culture, they want freedom from commodification and respect.
