Hi gang, chat and event idea ... for your tech honcho

I was looking at a list of relevant dates for my workplace this week (term dates for my school etc) and found the department of education had a .ics (exchange/ google calendar etc) file I could download to import into my phone and/or computer calendar, in about 3 clicks it imported and set reminders up for 35 events, I imagine it might be possible to set these up to work according to a generic time zone, then if you provided them for workshops and chats people could click to import the event and get a scheduled reminder on their phone screen prior to the chat, lord knows I've missed a few !

Missing the events was purely my own fault Jason, you guys do a stellar job, I was just pondering the idea of events being in calendars in general,not necessarily linked to facebook but really, it may not suit as ARZone defines dates as it rolls along and sets them up as opposed to having a schedule of future events that could be packaged up as a downloadable calendar file. Cheers for entertaining my flight of fancy! keep doing the great work you are doing!

neat - sorry Tim you've  missed some of our events- I know my outlook express on my computer and my blackberry both send me reminders about the chat events- I think its just because they are linked up with facebook - I'll take a look at it and see if I got time to make it doable. :)
