Fighting for animal liberation and an end to speciesism

And how many slaves work for you? Find out: http://slaveryfootprint.org/

For just one horrible example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNpwIzeyjKQ

Human rights are animal rights too, of course. It follows that products derived from the exploitation of humans are not vegan either. Avoiding them, persuading others to avoid them and including them in our activism is the morally consistent thing to do - and it's also important politically. One of the most common objections raised against the AR movement is that we are "single issue" or even that we "neglect humans".

Let us falsify this once and for all! Let us adopt a wide ethical horizon and be consistent in our boycott of products derived from animal exploitation!

Thanks for posting this. I agree with you that we all need to think about how our actions are contributing to the suffering of others. I'm sure that I'll be shocked by the number of people who are living in slavery as a result of the things I consume.

A good point. Cheers!

In the last decade, Apple has become one of the mightiest, richest and most successful companies in the world, in part by mastering global manufacturing. Apple and its high-technology peers — as well as dozens of other American industries — have achieved a pace of innovation nearly unmatched in modern history.

However, the workers assembling iPhones, iPads and other devices often labor in harsh conditions, according to employees inside those plants, worker advocates and documents published by companies themselves. Problems are as varied as onerous work environments and serious — sometimes deadly — safety problems.
