It's interesting how some people are able to compartmentalize their beliefs and attitudes about pain, suffering, and death that include some sentient beings but exclude others.


It is very interesting how easily some people can do this, it never ceases to amaze me. 

The article states that some hunters are asking that traps be set only in the water or above the ground, so that the dogs cannot accidentally get trapped. Aquatic traps drown their victims, slowly and painfully, beavers taking up to 13 mins to drown.  And this is acceptable, but dogs being accidentally, temporarily trapped isn't? That's some compartmentalising!
