VA in Richmond, Virginia Plans to Put Down 118 Dogs

The White Coat Waste Project, an organization dedicated to stopping the waste of our tax dollars on needless and useless animal experiments is suing the VA McGuire Hospital here in Richmond, VA for alleged deliberate refusal to give information about this matter when demanded through the filing of a FOIA.  I have already sent them an e-mail denouncing their plans and pledging never to support them financially or in any other way until they stop these and any other experiments. It is important…See More

Questions You Need to Ask before Purchasingn an Duckling or Baby Chick

As we approach this Easter Season, the thought of many parents is to get a duckling to raise as a pet for their children.  Unfortunately they don’t realize the responsibility involved with raising these creatures and If, they really want to learn the true and humane responsibility involved, they need to ask themselves honestly and truthfully the following  questions: Q: Am I legally allowed to have ducks where I live?Make sure to check with local town regulations first, to make sure that you…See More

Stop "Hunt with the Trumps for $1million

The wildlife of our nation will not fare well under the presidency of Donald Trump.  In fact on the very first day of Mr. Trump's presidency our wildlife will begin to suffer more than they have ever suffered in the past when Mr. Trump's two sons both ardent hunters sponsor "Hunt with the Trumps for $1million" so the President-elect can start a fundraiser the day after inauguration where donors can win the chance to go shooting with Donald's sons.  How sickening can his sons get to promote such…See More

STOP THIS HORRENDOUS USE OF OUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS

I was horrified when I found out that the University of Washington, performs sickening experiments on monkeys. Employees at the school perform grisly vivisections -- experiments on live animals -- drilling holes into the skulls of monkeys, implanting coils on their eyes, and tearing infant monkeys away from their mothers to intentionally cause psychological trauma. The primate research taking place at University of Washington is scientifically meaningless. Experiments on baby monkeys are…See More

I am submitting in this thread a CARE2 Petition request concerning the mandatory necessity of scanning microchips implanted in all pets to see they get properly located before any put downs occur. My Comments on Death of Harambe and What You Can Do

I have come to the conclusion that the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is fully responsible for the VERY UNNECESSARY death (to me it fits the term Â"murderÂ") of Harambe, that poor innocent gorilla who was forced into a situation beyond his control and confused by the screams of the crowd and all the activity that pursued. The Cincinnati Zoo and all zoos are clearly to blame for whatever deaths or injuries that result when improper contact is made between humans and the wild animals…See More

Of course I am totally opposed to animal experiments. After reading what you wrote about animal experiments I thought that my article and especially the section written by Dr Anderegg would give you some further useful information. If animal experiments are useless, counterproductive and damaging then we do not need an alternative to them, we simply abolish them. Campaigns and funds who advocate "alternatives" are reinforcing the myth that animal experiments must be useful in some way.
