Fighting for animal liberation and an end to speciesism
Typhoon Haiyan has caused devastation in parts of the Philippines, leaving people homeless and causing death to others. The situation is upsetting but there is help on it's way. Animals are also affected by the Typhoon. Many have also died but others have been left disoriented and scared. Organisations from overseas are helping but it is the grassroots organisations that are there now and can help these animals. Giving food and shelter to animals also helps the owners who may have been sharing their own limited food with their animals and worrying where their next meal would come from.
You can help the animals now by donating to IRO (Island Rescue Organisation). IRO established the first no kill sanctuary in Cebu, having a rescue center in Danao for Aspins (mongrel/street dogs) and another one for the pitbull fighting syndicate survivors. All of these dogs were once emaciated, malnourished and sick and now they are all happier and relatively healthier dogs thanks to IRO.
You can donate easily by paypal using this address:-firstname.lastname@example.org
