Hi Sam. AR is a journey! That was us down at the SLC, we did manage to get that stopped, even though they did have planning permission to build the outdoor tanks. There are AR people in your area. There is a Bournemouth AR group on myspace. I do know the people at Wickham, who protest regularly. I have a friend here who is a 1st year at Sussex Uni, she has just set up an AR group and we plan to do some things together. I am sure there must be people at your uni who would be interested in AR, it's how you get the information out to them. Animal Aid is the best 'organisation' to get info and leaflets from to distribute to the public. This is my email address; deniseandasher@yahoo.co.uk.
Maybe we could continue our contact through emails. Our group has a FB: sussex action for animals, have a look at what we get up to. Until all are free. Denx
Hi Sam
Only just saw your message, are you 17? Where are you living? Yes, Brighton is the vegan capital of the UK, but ironically there are very few vegans living here prepared to do any campaigning. There is a small group of us who are involved in anti fur protest in Brighton and sometimes London. We have loads of vintage shops here selling fur, some not so old furs bearing 'made in China' labels! I do shac almost every Friday. We also do anti meat leafleting once a week and we manage to fit in being involved in animal rescue! This week we managed, through our network, to re home 5 chinchillas living in terrible conditions and attacking each other. The RSPCA would not take them. So much for relying on 'welfarist's' to help desperate animals! We also transported a seagull to a sanctuary. Are you involved in any campaigns? Through reading AR Zone I have finally been convinced to remove meat entirely from my pets diet, so AR Zone not all bad!!! Lol. Denx
Hi Sam
Yes, I have 9 cats (or they have me) 2 dogs and a hamster, all rescued of course!
I also have a teenage vegan son.
How about you?
Thank you Sam. It is reassuring when you meet like minded people. I have encountered these same intellectual types before and I try not to be intimidated by them.
Until all are free
