STOP THIS HORRENDOUS USE OF OUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS

I was horrified when I found out that the University of Washington, performs sickening experiments on monkeys. Employees at the school perform grisly vivisections -- experiments on live animals -- drilling holes into the skulls of monkeys, implanting coils on their eyes, and tearing infant monkeys away from their mothers to intentionally cause psychological trauma. The primate research taking place at University of Washington is scientifically meaningless. Experiments on baby monkeys are…See More

Make Sure your Pet is Scanned if Lost for Implanted Microchip.

I am submitting in this thread a CARE2 Petition request concerning the mandatory necessity of scanning microchips implanted in all pets to see they get properly located before any put downs occur. Here is the actual petition:"If you're a pet owner, then one of your worst fears is that your favorite furry friend will get lost. That's why we implant our dogs and cats with microchips. But if no one scans the chip, chances are you won't ever see your pet again."Right now, only eight states require…See More

My Comments on Death of Harambe and What You Can Do

I have come to the conclusion that the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is fully responsible for the VERY UNNECESSARY death (to me it fits the term Â"murderÂ") of Harambe, that poor innocent gorilla who was forced into a situation beyond his control and confused by the screams of the crowd and all the activity that pursued. The Cincinnati Zoo and all zoos are clearly to blame for whatever deaths or injuries that result when improper contact is made between humans and the wild animals…See More

University of Washington MUST STOP THIS TYPE OF RESEARCH ON ANIMALS

This type of research MUST STOP AND STOP NOW at this UniversityAt the University of Washington (UW), live animals are used to train paramedics and flight nurses. Trainees make an incision in the throat of a pig and insert a breathing tube. This procedure is performed up to six times by multiple trainees on each pig. At the end of each session, the animals are killed. However, emergency airway management is routinely taught in other paramedic, emergency medicine, and trauma programs using…See More

Bewasre of Using ASPCA Pet Insurance

Evidently there are some serious problems when using ASPCA Pet Insurance as evidenced by a petition being circulated on Care2 Petition site. Of course I am totally opposed to animal experiments. After reading what you wrote about animal experiments I thought that my article and especially the section written by Dr Anderegg would give you some further useful information. If animal experiments are useless, counterproductive and damaging then we do not need an alternative to them, we simply abolish them. Campaigns and funds who advocate "alternatives" are reinforcing the myth that animal experiments must be useful in some way.
