Some dogs are suspected to have canine distemper, but the activists still have no distemper testing kits to confirm this. They have been setting up new cages to separate the dogs, which include 5 pregnant bitches. They urgently need more volunteers to help and donations of rice, serum and used clothing & blankets.

More than 400 dogs were rescued from Yulin Dog Meat Festival in June 2013. 2 different groups purchased dogs from the trafficker, Du Yufeng was one of the groups with the monks who helped her.
