Fighting for animal liberation and an end to speciesism
Episode 7 features Laura Schleifer - a writer, theater artist, and educator whose work has spanned the globe from the Middle East to Nicaragua to China and beyond.
Laura is a pro-intersectional vegan, and active in the Palestine Liberation Movement. She created the word “artivist” to describe her vocation as an artist-activist. As a Jewish American she traveled to the West Bank in Palestine, performing with a theatre tour for children. She’s working on a book for Vegan Publishers and regularly speaks publicly about the ways in which the struggle for human liberation intersects with the movement for the liberation of other animals. Audio podcast, approx. 14 minutes.
