The Polemics of Peppercorn

Whether it be Black, White, Green or Pink peppercorns did you know they all come from the same stem it's just a case of maturity as represented by their colour.  They are all anti-inflammatories, circulatory stimulants, antioxidents and suit Mexican cooking. Pink peppercorns are used in mojos as a garnish, black and white peppercorns  in culinary use are powerful agents in small doses that lends contrast to a dish and green peppercorns are briny, the youngest of all the peppercorns and are…See More

Profile Information

I am a Sydney vegan and have a Facebook page in Australia on that very subject. I am interested in veganism, street food, world food such as Indian, Japanese, South East Asian etc and local veganism such as triple-sifted peppermint slices and jaffa (orange and chocolate) cake. I like to cook and I have an interest in vegan pastries.

I think Chef Eric of the Millennium restaurant fame and his two gourmet cookbooks are the best thing to hit the vegan movement in years. I am a big fan of his.

I am pleased with the progress of the animal rights movement. It is progressive and steadfast in its alma mater, its commitment to the animals and its voice is heard collectively around the globe.

Veganism is instructive, healthy, fun and includes fast food too. The future is veganism.

An Institution in Marrickville is closing: The Village Wholefoods

The Village Wholefood place in Marrickville is closing down. There are still plenty of bargains. My stash today includes a lovely little kitchen blackboard for recipe writing, 30% off unhulled tahini, an enamel fruit bowl at .50cents, turkish rosemary for under $1.50 and a bag of buckwheat flour at $4.00. Not bad for a days shopping
