Fighting for animal liberation and an end to speciesism

So what do you think, should animal advocated and activists use terms like "meat-free" instead of "vegetarian" or "vegan"?

The problem is that there are many animal ingredients that aren't meat, like gelatine in jelly for example, and this is just pandering to a laziness. It does take effort to learn what is and what isn't vegan. But in the learning of it brings greater clarity of what happens to the animals that end up on the plate, and reinforces why we are vegan.
I'm uncomfortable using anything except "vegan", because there's a whole lifestyle thing that goes with it, y'know? It's more than just avoiding things. Being vegan is living your life a certain way.
