I looked at your photo, Jordan. I grant you, your stubble is most impressive, but I still think you have a long way to be a threat to "Stubble Gier."

RE "sunglasses", I'm not taking them off until the OTHER American "stealth helicopter" is disposed of!

The caves of the middle east are practically "accessible" compared to The Bottom Of The World, yet still, better not take our chances!

"Had the new admin to ARZone been, for example Jordan Wyatt, the always clean-shaven dictator for life of the Invergargill Vegan Society, I would have probably made the same lame in-joke comment about average amounts of stubbleness to be found of ARZone."

Sorry to "put the boot in" Roger, but this was me as until a few hours ago!  Hey, its COLD here (12 degrees C), and besides, what Dictator is hair free?  We see hirsuteness as a definitive sign of empire!

:-)

Welcome democratically elected staffer DeGrande!

I think it's a shame that because of an innocuous joke that some may not have gotten, a thread meant to welcome a new member of the ARZone team has been derailed. I'm sorry to have to add my voice to it, but seriously, one can find sexism, racism, homophobia and every other failing of humankind anywhere and everywhere when that is what one is looking to find. I am, as a perpetually unshaven man, deeply offended by jokes about my stubble, and if I could invent an "ism" about that, I am sure that thousands of similarly aggrieved men (and womyn) would join me in my indignation. Until such time as I discover such a word, I think I'll spend my time worrying instead about things that might actually matter.

Welcome Barbara, it's an honor to count you among us.

I'll possibly be accused of over-simplifying the issue, but ... Barbara, and every member of ARZone admin are part of the ARZone admin team because they are wonderful, intelligent and caring people. That's it!

AND ... Jason is back this week ... YAY, Jay!
