An argument given to me (usually just by my saying I'm vegan) by meat-eaters of a religious orientation would be something like: "God gave us dominion (after the flood) over animals and their flesh to eat" or "Jesus ate fish". Unfortunately it is pretty impossible to reason with people who hold such firm beliefs (or perhaps interpretations). Thanks
