Fighting for animal liberation and an end to speciesism
There are two disturbing news items that I would like to call to your attention.
The first is a report on a recent study that concludes that current global climate change estimates have failed to accurately predict the impact on other animals. The study's authors find that the rates of extinction of other animals due to changing global climate patterns are likely to be significantly higher than previously thought.
The second is a report of conditions in Texas, where it is said that average temperatures in that state (which covers twice the area of Germany) are the highest on record in 90 years. 2011 was also the driest year on record since records have been kept.
