Hi. Thanks for sharing this. I notice you say "Helping battery chicken". Are you meaning in the singular or plural sense? The idea of knitting jumpers for chickens no doubt shows good intentions, but I'm sure that the poor bald, exploited chickens would much rather have access to an infrared heat lamp. They like to frequently preen themselves, especially when their feathers are growing and these jumpers are bound to be a great hindrance to that, and will probably make them feel terribly itchy. I expect some will get their feet caught in them too, which could be disastrous for them.

The joke at the end "It's a great way to recharge a battery hen" is one of the worst I've ever heard.

I hope none of these people eat eggs or that would be too ironic.
Haha, Roger. Another typo? I can't remember your last one.
I assumed it must be a typo and that you meant "chickens" instead of "chicken".
I'm sure you would not choose an uninflected animal plural word to describe more than one individual.
I hope if/when you spot my typos before I do, you will kindly point them out to me. Thankyou.
I think I must have missed that joke (and I'm glad I did). I agree that the video wasn't very educational ... but maybe the reporter misstated the source of the yarn, and maybe the sanctuary owner who must be working with the volunteer group did intend to send a vegan message (and it just got lost)?

I hadn't thought of a heat lamp, but Kate makes a good point.
