Fighting for animal liberation and an end to speciesism

Animal Rights Bill Tom Regan Summing Up

Does the Animal Kingdom need a Bill of Rights? The question was posed at a debate at the Royal institute of Great Britain (UK) in 1989. This video features remarks made by the opposition. Mary Warnock a philosopher from Cambridge University (yes Cambridge). Stephen Rose Professor of Biology, who works for the British medical and Science council and Germaine Greer writer and feminist. These people are all Phds, the best the anti animal rights brigade could muster. Watch and enjoy how the brilliant American Philosopher Dr Tom Regan destroys their arguments.

Hi Paul,

Tom passed away on 17 February of pneumonia after a long battle with Parkinson's. It was very sad news. Here's a link to the tribute to him we wrote in ARZone:

And here's our Facebook announcement of his passing:

Feel free to ask any other questions.  :)

Thank you, Carolyn, for posting this. BTW, I heard recently that the “late” Tom Regan had died. Do you have any good info on his passing?
